Dear Girl Scout families,
We’re having a great cookie season! If your girl is participating, thank you for supporting her. Please share this important information with her. And if she’s not involved yet, it’s not too late! Contact us to get started!

Cookie Booths 101

Booths begin on Friday, Feb. 9! While working at them, please represent Girl Scouts well and respect our host companies so they will continue to allow booths at their locations. (Find the booth sale code of behavior and tips in the Family Cookie Guide and booth quick card.) Have fun creating an eye-catching booth that will help you reach your goals and learn lifelong skills!
Booth cancellations: Using eBuddeTM keeps the Cookie Finder App accurate
If you or your troop are unable to attend a booth site you’ve scheduled, it’s very important to have your troop cookie manager cancel in eBudde™ so the Girl Scout Cookie Finder app will be accurate. Customers depend on the Cookie Finder and are disappointed when they find an empty booth site.

(Advise your customers and friends to download the app so they can find cookies wherever they are.)

Rewards arrive!
Operation Thin MintSM: Three million "tastes of home"
You could sell the three millionth OTM box! Ask customers (especially those who don’t want cookies for themselves) to donate cookies to service members. Tip: Display an OTM donation container at your booths, lemonade-style stands and cookie mobile. Find great OTM resources on our website.

Make your cookie booth shine!
Pick up a tablecloth ($35) or change apron ($18.95) at a Girl Scout store. Also available: money bags, tiered cookie displays, and T-shirts with new cookie designs. (If your troop sold cookies last year, take 10% off with your discount card). Visit our shop page for locations and hours.

Mystery House clues on Facebook
Get your steps in by selling door-to-door … you just may find one of the secret Mystery Houses! The first Girl Scout who stops by a Mystery House while selling cookies will win a Mermaid Trinket Holder. (There is approximately one per service unit.) Follow us on Facebook for weekly clues.

Fun fact: door-to-door is the number one way customers want to purchase cookies!

Don't miss out on your favorite camp
Camp registration is now open, and troop proceeds, Cookie Bucks or the 650+ box cookie reward can get you there! Reserve your space early with a $25 fee (refundable if you meet that 650+ box goal).

Cookie Pro contest
A San Diego or Imperial county girl could be pictured on a Girl Scout Cookie box! Enter Girl Scouts of the USA’s Cookie Pro 2018 contest now to unlock the limited-edition Cookie Pro 2018 patch. The redesigned boxes will debut in 2020.

Top 100 coin is back
Girl Scouts San Diego’s top 100 cookie sellers will receive an exclusive keepsake coin! Every box can make a difference in a girl’s overall ranking, so keep pushing toward a top 100 spot!

Boy Scouts? Girl Scouts?
This cookie season, you may be asked questions like, “What do you think about girls joining Boy Scouts?” or, “How is Girl Scouts different from Boy Scouts?” or, “What do you like about being a Girl Scout?”

When you answer, always stay positive and never put down Boy Scouts (or other organizations). These ideas will help you think about how you feel and what you could say:
  • I know boys who enjoy being Boy Scouts … but I love being a Girl Scout!
  • Sometimes I like doing things with only girls so I can just be myself.
  • Our troop decides together what we want to do, like fun outdoor adventures and science activities.

It's not too late!
Know a Girl Scout who’s not yet participating in the cookie program but wants to learn skills and earn funds for membership and activities? Online training is still available for troops and individual girls. If your troop needs a cookie manager, contact product sales for help.
